    This is especially true for me. Business owners definitely want me fixing problems and concentrating on strategic planning than programming.

    thanks for the input. I do agree with you, but it depends on the business model of the company. I believe that there should be a distinction between web/software companies that provide the solutions (i.e. generate requirements from the customer, put that to paper in clear specifications and manage the project towards the client) and companies that manage the development (i.e. making sure the development team understands the requirements, gather an effective project team and manage the process of development). These two companies joining hands create a large added value through a sharp focus on 1 part of the value chain. Gathering requirements, coming up with (creative) solutions and specifying is not the same as managing a team of programmers.
