The Event
Futsal: The Sporting Extravaganza for the Kochi IT Crowd
IT Futsal Challenge 2017 by TATA Structura & Durashine, under the banner of Bridge Global was a three day corporate IT Futsal championship. The idea for such an event came from a group of enthusiastic Bridgys.
The target participants were professionals from the IT/ITES companies of Kerala. The event was held from February 10 –12, 2017 at Decathlon Vyttila, one of the largest sports equipment dealers.
The Title Sponsor for the event was TATA Structura & Durashine, reputed brands from TATA Steel, the leading global manufacturers, and suppliers of steel. The other major sponsors were EVM and VW Cochin. The health and food & beverage partners were Welcare Hospital and Angan restaurant respectively. Monolith was the digital partner for the event.
The event witnessed promising participation from 32 companies, who were selected on the basis of early registration. It was tough for the organizers to tell some of the teams that they closed registration due to the fast filling up of slots. The teams that won the first and second places received INR 10,000 and INR 5,000 respectively, along with a trophy. The event turned out to be a greatly-anticipated sporting carnival for the sports buffs in the IT field. All the companies we approached were excited to be part of the event. They appreciated the organization for coming out with such a fantastic event idea for the IT crowd.

Futsal has helped Bridgys in polishing and promoting their personal contacts, both inside and outside the company.
