Bridge Buddy Program Makes On-Boarding a Fun Affair!
Have you ever felt lost or left out in the first few days after joining a new office? If ‘YES’, you are not alone. Most of the new joiners feel on-boarding a rather hectic and tensed affair.
But it is not so in Bridge Global! Our Buddy Program is implemented to make the job on-boarding experience a fun and exciting one.
In Bridge, HR is not the sole holder of the on-boarding process. The organization as a whole participates in the affair, setting the stage for employee development. Besides giving a complete information package on the company and an informal induction ceremony, Bridge welcomes new Bridgys in more notable ways.
According to a 2013 study by Aberdeen Group on talent onboarding practices at 230 organizations; about 90% of the employees decide to stay or leave a company within their first year. An extended, sociable and effective on-boarding process is the key to drive engagement as suggested by the study.
Bridge follows a rewarding on-boarding process allowing ample time for new joiners to get accustomed to the new systems and practices.
A Peer Buddy for All the New Bridgys
The Buddy Program at Bridge is a great initiative to help new joiners to get off on the right foot and hit the ground running.
Each of the new Bridgys will be assigned a peer Buddy. He/she will act as a comfortable and reliable point-of-contact for the new joiner.
The Buddy will wear a ‘smiley’ badge during the mentoring period. The badge is just a symbol of the happy-to-handhold attitude that the Buddy displays.
The Buddy will walk the new arrival around, introducing him/her to other colleagues and inducting him/her to the overall work culture. The just-joined Bridgy will get a warm welcome from all the teams at the weekly Bridge gathering.
The Bridge Buddy Program helps us in the following ways:

• Besides making the new joiners at ease, the Buddy Program improves the socializing skills and mentoring capabilities of all the Bridgys in general.
