Since September this year Bridge has started a new platform for opening dialogue about noteworthy IT news and development. This ‘Talk About IT’ platform consists of two-monthly real life events where interesting experienced speakers present their views about the latest topics in IT and where IT professionals come together to increase the size of their effective network. The events are supported online by a discussion group in Linkedin and a fanpage in Facebook. The official website www.talkabout-it.nl provides all information, including a registration page for the events and for the Talk about IT community, so all interested can be kept up-to-date about the new events and discussions.
Sinds september dit jaar is Bridge gestart met een nieuw platform om discussie te creëren over IT nieuws en ontwikkeling. Dit “Talk About IT” platform bestaat uit twee maandelijkse evenementen waar interessante ervaren sprekers hun mening presenteren over de laatste onderwerpen in IT. Ook komen daar IT professionals bij elkaar om hun effectieve netwerk te vergroten. De evenementen worden online ondersteund door een discussie groep in Linkedin en een fanpagina op Facebook. De officiële website www.talkabout-it.nl verstrekt alle informatie en heeft een registratie pagina voor de evenementen en Talk about IT community zodat alle geïnteresseerden op de hoogte kunnen worden gehouden van nieuwe evenementen en discussies.

On September 30th Bridge proudly presented the first Talk About IT event in Amsterdam, and not without success! Over 45 attendees enjoyed the presentations by Jasper Wognum of Hyves and Dick van Gaalen of Hewlett Packard. Wognum explained Hyves’ solution to fast 
growth without losing control, but also maintaining flexibility and agility in its company processes. Van Gaalen shared his view about the future of IT with us, visioning a tremendous shift towards cloud computing which has already begun. All those who were present at this launch of the new platform were excited and surprised about how well business networking and high quality practical knowledge sharing can be combined. These modern times offer us the possibility not to stop discussing about the topics at the end of the event. On the website and in the Linkedin group the conversations can continue…

On November 25th the second version of Talk About IT will be held in Eindhoven with Jasper Bongers, Client Liaison Manager Mobiel of KPN and Hennie Wesseling, former CIO of TNTPost, as speakers to initiate the discussion for Talk About IT November.

Op 30 september presenteerde Bridge met trots het eerste Talk About IT evenement in Amsterdam, en niet zonder success! Meer dan 45 aanwezigen hoorden de presentaties van Jasper Wognum van Hyves en Dick van Gaalen van Hewlett Packard met plezier aan. Wognum legde Hyves’ oplossing voor snelle groei zonder controle te verliezen uit waarbij ook flexibiliteit en veelzijdigheid in het bedrijfsproces. Meer dan 45 aanwezigen hoorden met plezier de presentaties van Jasper Wognum van Hyves en Dick van Gaalen van Hewlett Packard aan. Wognum legde de oplossing van Hyves uit over hoe om te gaan met snelle groei zonder controle te verliezen en tegelijkertijd flexibel en veelzijdig te blijven in bedrijfsprocessen. Van Gaalen deelde zijn mening over de toekomst van IT met ons, hij ziet een enorme verschuiving naar cloud computing voor die al begonnen is. Allen die aanwezig waren bij deze lancering van het nieuwe platform waren enthousiast en verrast over hoe goed networking en het delen van praktische kennis van hoge kwaliteit goed te combineren zijn.
