My Decade-Long Association with Bridge Global: A Happy Look Back
10 years! Wow…Years passed in the blink of an eye. Excited, fulfilling, and gratifying are the best adjectives to express my experience with Bridge Global. What made me have a decade-long association with Bridge Global? Let me take you quickly through the reasons.
Love what you do and think that you own your organization
Well, it's really simple. Love what you do and think that you own your organization. That mindset made me love my organization with its pros and cons. Always remember that no organization is perfect and there is always scope for improvement.Bridge Global is no different.
Then what makes the organization unique is that there is always an ear who hears your suggestions with an open mind. Bridge Global always gives its employees an opportunity to present their ideas, suggestions to anyone in the organization management. The company also gives the privilege for us to own our idea and implement it if it aligns with the company's values.
Dared to take on challenges
I joined Bridge Global as the first senior .NET employee in the company. The decision to move from a company where I worked as a senior developer, to a place where there was no one else from your technology background was quite a challenging task. But for me, I was working in my comfort zone for quite a while then and was in the mood to take on challenges in my career. The daunting task of moving from a team (where you get all the help from your seniors and colleagues) and working in one-to-one contracts was a nightmare for me.
Frankly, I struggled a lot in my initial months in Bridge to be independent and worked as a full-stack developer (when the term ‘full-stack development’ was unheard of). While Bridgys gave me all the motivation, mental support, and coaching to get the mindset of a full-stack developer; Bridge gave me the platform to interact with customers face-to-face, understand their cultures, and moulded me into an independent developer consultant.
I also got the opportunity to fly to Sweden several times to meet with different customers. These onsite visits have definitely made me a better person and i could learn a lot in life.
A blissful personal & professional growth along with the company
Over the years, personally and professionally, I grew along with this organization. Bridge Global has grown from a 15 member company to a 120+ people organization and I grew up my professional ladder to a team lead and to a technical project manager.
Coding is always my passion and I love to code till date along with what my role demands in my organization. Proud to say that I have been seeing the growth of my organization and tried my level best to contribute to each and every initiative put forward by the company.
As an organization, the company has gone through a lot of challenges and we faced everything together and held tight and now it has reached greater heights.
All I can say is that, when the company grew, it held us together and we had grown together. I don’t have colleagues here. All are family to me.
For me, Bridge Global is all about fun at work, amazing team members, opportunities to grow, open-minded people, and technical and personal growth. It is always like a second home to me. Have been associated with different roles in the company and I love the challenges that are put forward to me. I love the work-life balance I get here.
Looking forward to more awesomeness
On completing 10 years here, I would like to thank Bridge Global for giving me the opportunity to work with this amazing company, my customers whom I worked with, my friends and family, my mentors, company management, and my teachers, without them I would not have been able to achieve what I am today
I sincerely hope that I could contribute a lot more and help Bridge Global reach greater heights. I can write a lot more about my experiences, but am happily wrapping this article up by quoting famous speaker & author Laura Garnett: “you can only become truly accomplished at something you love.” And in my experience, it’s a blessing to do a job that you love than to be forced into a job that you can’t find any delight in.
Cheers!
