TechWhizz ’17 – An Excellent Combo of Tech Talks and Workshops

We are really excited about our recently wrapped-up tech event, TechWhizz ’17. The event was held on December 16, 2017, at PGS Vedanta Business Hotel, Kochi. It received an overwhelmingly impressive response. More than 40 IT professionals from the region attended the event making it a worthwhile experience.

What Was The Event All About?

TechWhizz ’17 was a one-day tech event to gain insights and practical application learning on “Design Patterns in Object-Oriented Programming”. Abhishek Sivasubramanian, the distinguished Tech Evangelist, was the speaker for the event.

The event was a platform that converged expert talks, interactive workshops, and informal discourses. Workshops conducted by a group of tech experts from Bridge Global added the essential practical application value on the topic.

Our CEO, Mr. Krishna Jothis opened the event with a short talk on how Bridge Global functions as a client-focussed and employee-driven organization.

Crisp and effective knowledge sharing

The stick-out feature of the event was the effortless way in which Abhishek led the audience through the knowledge voyage. His educative talk on ‘Design Patterns’ was a wonderful experience for the technology community. He explained each concept with simple examples to make learning easy. He gave excellent coverage on the topic.

Impromptu Q&A sessions made the event an interactive and lively one.

Smart Workshops

Engaging workshops led by some of the highly experienced engineers from Bridge Global supplemented each of the knowledge sessions. The workshop team headed by Sukesh Chand did a marvelous job in making the event a practice-oriented one. They created simple and impressive code examples to illustrate every Design Pattern.

Passionate Participation

At the end of the session, participants had brainstormed on a Mega Scenario in which so many patterns were to be identified & plugged into. The participants grouped into teams made some brilliant explanations on the criteria of selection of Design Patterns with precise justifications. The entire participants proactively cooperated throughout the event. The feedbacks were awesomely positive and there is no doubt that TechWhizz 2017 did achieve the goal.

There is nothing more wonderful than getting like-minded people under one roof and learning and sharing knowledge. TechWhizz ’17 was an excellent opportunity for the tech professionals in the region to come together and gain knowledge.

Applying the right design patterns in the right place is the ideal way to improve a code. Following the design, patterns are the best way to achieve this. The event helped the participants to grasp the core concept and implementation strategy of the wide array of Design Patterns. The insights obtained would help them to adopt the best design approaches and the best coding practices. This will indeed result in improved code quality and enhanced software solutions.

The event also offered sufficient ‘happy to mingle time’ during the tea and lunch breaks. The attendees found time to interact with all the other participants, turning it out to be a happy networking time too!
